Per quanto riguarda la MX1 ottima prestazione di Alberto Forato, che in gara uno ottiene una buona partenza nella top five, e dopo essersi messo all’inseguimento del primo nel corso del settimo giro lo sorpassa e prende la testa della corsa.  Da lì in poi gestisce la gara e termina in prima posizione.
In gara due invece ancora una volta la partenza non è tra le migliori, e Alberto compie diversi sorpassi, ma il primo allunga già nei primi metri della corsa. Nonostante gli sforzi di Alberto per voler concludere anche questa gara in testa, deve accontentarsi del secondo posto alla bandiera a scacchi, che gli conferisce il secondo posto di giornata e il titolo di campione Italiano Elite MX1.

ALBERTO FORATO IS ITALIAN CHAMPION FOR THE SECOND TIME

MALPENSA (VA) – Alberto Forato wins the Italian championship for the second time in a row.
The final stage of the Italian championship takes place on the historic ‘Ciglione della Malpensa’ track, where Luca Ruffini lined up together with Alberto, while Tuani is out due to injury.

The fight for the MX1 title took place all weekend, and Alberto entered the first heat with a 210 point lead over the second. The weekend was characterized by summer temperatures which put the drivers’ performances to the test. Starting from Saturday, the two team drivers showed off with excellent performances: Alberto came close to pole position, obtaining the second best time of the day, while Luca Ruffini obtained the tenth time. In race one, in MX2, Ruffini starts in the top ten and manages to finish in tenth position with a consistent race. In race two Luca comes close to the holeshot with an excellent start, and in the first laps he fights to stay glued to the leading positions. Towards the end, also due to a small physical decline, he finished in sixteenth position.
The day’s ranking sees him in eleventh position, while in the championship he finishes sixteenth. As for the MX1, an excellent performance from Alberto Forato, who in race one got a good start in the top five, and after chasing the leader during the seventh lap he overtook him and took the lead of the race. From then on he managed the race and finished in first position. In race two, however, once again the start was not among the best, and Alberto made several overtaking moves, but the first one pulled away already in the first meters of the race. Despite Alberto’s efforts to finish this race in the lead too, he had to settle for second place at the checkered flag, which gave him second place of the day and the title of Italian Elite MX1 champion.
