SM ACTION, WEEKEND NERO IN REPUBBLICA CECA

LOKET (CZ) – Un weekend davvero sfortunato per il team SM ACTION Yuasa Battery.

Il dodicesimo round del campionato del mondo si tiene a Loket, nella storica pista che ospita manifestazioni di caratura mondiale fin dal 1995. Il team in Repubblica Ceca ha deciso di schierare Lorenzo Ciabatti e Federico Tuani in MX2, mentre nella MXGP è presente come sempre Alberto Forato.

Il sabato, caratterizzato da una giornata calda è puramente estiva, non parte al meglio con Ciabatti che non si schiera al via della gara di qualifica, e Tuani che dopo un paio di errori di troppo termina in ventiseiesima posizione. Forato, invece, dopo una buona gara c’entra la top ten ed è nono.

Dopo la pioggia caduta nella notte la giornata della domenica diventa incerta e nuvolosa, e non parte al meglio per i portacolori del team: dopo un discreto start, Ciabatti subisce un duro contatto che lo costringe a ritirarsi e a saltare anche gara due a causa dei postumi della botta. Tuani invece dopo una buona gara è costretto al ritiro per un problema tecnico nelle battute finali di gara uno.

Gara due con il solo Tuani partente vede una buona prestazione del pilota milanese fino a circa metà gara, quando ancora una volta è costretto al ritiro a causa di un problema tecnico.

Nella MXGP Alberto Forato fatica a trovare un buon feeling, e dopo una partenza non al meglio termina gara uno in diciassettesima posizione a causa di qualche errore di troppo. Gara due invece va leggermente meglio, con il pilota veneto che sfiora la top ten terminando in undicesima posizione, ma comunque faticando a trovare il giusto feeling e raccogliendo meno di quanto siano le reali potenzialità del pilota. La somma delle due gare lo vede al dodicesimo posto assoluto di giornata nella classe regina.

Il circus non si ferma e si sposta a Lommel, dove ritroveremo impegnato il team nello storico tracciato sabbioso per il tredicesimo round del mondiale MXGP.

SM ACTION, DARK WEEKEND IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

LOKET (CZ) – A really unlucky weekend for the SM ACTION Yuasa Battery team.

The twelfth round of the world championship is held in Loket, on the historic track that has hosted world-class events since 1995.

The team in the Czech Republic has decided to line up Lorenzo Ciabatti and Federico Tuani in MX2, while Alberto Forato is present as always in the MXGP.

Saturday, characterized by a hot and purely summer day, didn’t start at its best with Ciabatti not lining up at the start of the qualifying race, and Tuani who, after a couple of mistakes too many, finished in twenty-sixth position. Forato, on the other hand, after a good race, enters the top ten and is ninth.

After the rain that fell during the night, Sunday becomes uncertain and cloudy, and it doesn’t start in the best way for the team’s standard-bearers: after a decent start, Ciabatti suffers a hard contact which forces him to retire and also miss race two due to hangovers of the blow. Tuani instead after a good race is forced to retire due to a technical problem in the final stages of race one.

Race two with only Tuani starting saw a good performance from the Milanese driver until about halfway through the race, when once again he was forced to retire due to a technical problem.

In the MXGP Alberto Forato struggles to find a good feeling, and after a bad start he finishes race one in seventeenth position due to a few mistakes too many. Race two, on the other hand, goes slightly better, with the Venetian driver grazing the top ten finishing in eleventh position, but still struggling to find the right feeling and collecting less than the driver’s real potential. The sum of the two races sees him in twelfth place overall of the day in the premier class.

The circus does not stop and moves to Lommel, where we will find the team busy again on the historic sandy track for the thirteenth round of the MXGP world championship.
