Nella classe MXGP, gara uno parte bene per Forato che riesce ad avere una buona partenza nella top ten, e mantiene salda la posizione terminando in nona piazza.

In gara due invece Alberto non riesce a partire bene, e complice qualche errore non riesce ad andare oltre alla quindicesima piazza, risultati che non rispecchiano il valore del pilota, che abbiamo visto nei precedenti GP nella posizioni che contano.
Per Ciabatti e Tondel, invece, è sfortuna nera. Ciabatti è costretto a ripartire dal fondo in entrambe la gare, nella prima prende la via dei box dopo pochi giri, mentre nella seconda con tenacia non molla e termina in ventunesima piazza, pur dovendo convivere con un problema al braccio dopo la caduta del GP del Trentino. Tondel invece, dopo una buona prestazione in gara uno che lo vede terminare in quindicesima posizione, in gara due è costretto al ritiro dopo un contatto con un altro pilota, fortunatamente senza conseguenze.

Il team avrà un’altra chance di fare bene nel prossimo weekend in Spagna, nella tappa di Intu Xanadù.

SM ACTION, FORATO IS TWELFTH IN THE PORTUGAL GP

AGUEDA (PT): Bad weekend for the SM Action YUASA Battery Team.

The fifth stage of the MXGP world championship was held in Agueda, Portugal, the scene of a spectacular track and a warm and numerous public.

As usual, the team lines up Alberto Forato in the MXGP, Cornelius Tondel and Lorenzo Ciabatti in the MX2 and only Federico Tuani in the EMX250 class.

Starting from Saturday, decent qualifying for Forato who finishes in thirteenth position in the qualifying race, while Tondel and Ciabatti are respectively in fifteenth and nineteenth position.

The EMX250 class, which already runs a race on Saturday, sees Federico Tuani in twenty-second position in qualifying, while in race one he finishes just outside the Top Ten, in twelfth position.

Sunday, characterized by some menacing clouds, Tuani is in thirteenth position at the checkered flag of race two, results that allow him to be in thirteenth position for the day, and eleventh in the championship after the third stage of the 250 European Championship.

In the MXGP class, race one starts well for Forato who manages to have a good start in the top ten, and keeps his position firm, finishing in ninth place.

In race two, however, Alberto was unable to start well, and due to some mistakes he was unable to go beyond fifteenth place, results that do not reflect the value of the rider, which we have seen in the previous GPs in the top positions. For Ciabatti and Tondel, it’s bad luck. Ciabatti was forced to start from the back in both races, in the first he took to the pits after a few laps, while in the second he did not give up with tenacity and finished in twenty-first place, despite having to live with an arm problem after the crash in the GP Trentino. Tondel instead, after a good performance in race one which finish in fifteenth position, in race two he was forced to retire after a contact with another driver, fortunately without consequences. The team will have another chance to do well next weekend in Spain, in the Intu Xanadù round.
